I love making polymer beads... especially out of scrap clay. I'll just pick up a hunk of random clay and make swirly beads (I learned from Desiree's tutorial from Desiredcreations.com)
As a matter of fact, I just purchased an EZ bead changer (see my post here) so that I could use some of those faboo and huge beads I've made!
I checked out the bead changer, that is really neat! I'm curious, is the 'nut' threaded or does it just slide on? It would be a pain if it could slide off. Is it quite strong? I love the way your lentil beads look on it.
I love making swirly lentils too! In fact I am emailing out a full video tutorial this week on rolling swirly lentils, to all those that are on my guest list.
No, it's not threaded... it has some kind of rubber grip inside. (I've already contacted the seller about getting extras... because I'm sure I'll lose it eventually! It seems strong enough for polymer clay... but I'd be careful with natural stones and/or glass beads. I'll be wearing my new necklace, I'll let you know how it holds up!
Make sure to check out my bead making blog, I have lots of daily tips and pictures that are great for the beginner and beyond! I can also help you here with any questions you may have. It is fun to make polymer clay beads, isn't it!
